Finding Nemo from PIXAR & Walt Disney

This past weekend I watched Finding Nemo by PIXAR. I jotted down the idioms and "idiomatic language" as they occurred to me. I'm typing them in here temporarily and will later decide how to write it up.

Most likely I will *not* decide to write up this movie however, because A. much of the slang is Australian, and being an American myself I will need to check with some Australians about questions that I have, & B. For the first entry, I'd rather do a movie that doesn't have Oh so many idioms

One thing I am noticing is that these cartoon movies are often very heavy on idiomatic language. Here is a quickl listing of what I heard on my first viewing, and a quick second going through. You'll notice that I include some language here that people may think is not idiomatic. But to me, a phrase that is very commonly used does take on idiomatic elements:

Idioms, Phrases, (& keywords)
Coral (name of the mom clownfish), Ocean View, Can Breathe, My Man Delievered, Had their Eyes On [every single one], Did Good, Deserve the Best, Nemo (name of son clownfish), Get away from, Where did everybody go?, Get Inside the house, Will never let anything happen to you, Its time for, The first thing you have to know about, About to, Get Stuck out there, Deep breath, Can't be, They took him away, no problem, A piece of me, which way, something is wrong with you, get together, its about the, hlep yourself, on my honor, the only way out, got to be, swim away (the girl from ipamama), bonjour, scared to death, little fella, oui, what's it like, if there's anything you need, there i go, new guy, See.. about a wallaby (australian?), my only chance, its in my head, state your name, one of us, Gil (willem dofoe fish name) fool proof, i think you're nuts, what do you think, let's do it, Carry on, Hurt your feelings, what's the matter, get even, out there, through it not over it, lost count, talk you through, piece of "kelp", nicely done, isn't a good idea, well done, dude, taking on the jelly's, serious... issues, hurling, flying solo, stop at nothing, in harm's way, nothing should be worth the, i've got to speak with him, dirty thoughts, good work, taking a while, trust me on this, can you help us out, of course you are, its all right, sure it will, half empty (half full), let go, he made it.

Tom Cruise in The Last Samurai

This is what one might see when looking at a posting about an idiom in a movie. There you have it; you see what you can see. This will say what was happening in that scene, when someone said something. Then there would be an explanation of the idiom, and perhaps some further examples OR links to other pages in the site where more info could be found.
