A "sense of urgency" is a feeling that you must hurry. Example: "Can't you see that we are losing this game? Let's have a sense of urgency."

A "sense of urgency" is a feeling that something important will be lost if you do not hurry.

A "sense of urgency" is the feeling that you must hurry because you have little time left to do something important. Example: "Knowing the post office closes at 5pm gave us a sense of urgency."
