"Call It A Night"

You "call it a night" when it is nighttime and you decide to go home or go to bed.

Example: "You guys are going to another bar? Not me. I'm calling it a night."

You are not going out or staying out any later when you "call it a night".

Example: "It's getting late. I'm going to call it a night."

Example: "You are home already?" Reply: "Yes. We were getting tired, so we called it a night."

Example: "You guys can stay here as long as you like, but I'm going to call it a night."
