"in awe of someone or something"



To be in awe of something is be totally fascinated and interested in that thing. Example: "I am in awe of you."

When you feel that something is awesome, you are in awe of that thing."

The thing you are in awe of amazes you and holds your attention. Example: "I love watching tennis on TV. Those players are so amazing. I am in awe of it."

It is almost impossible for you to look away from somethig that you are in awe of. Example: "I've been reading William Shakespeare lately, and I am totally in awe of his work."
