Out Of Your League ( too good for you ... )
"out of your league"



Someone who is too good for you, or above you in some way, is out of your league. Example: "She'll never go out with you. She's out of your league."

It is out of your league when the thing you want is too good for you or too difficult to get. Example: "When we were freshman, senior girls were out of our league."

When other people are better than you and you cannot compete with them, you are "out of your league". Example: "Michael Jordan was a fantastic basketball player. But in baseball, he was out of his league." Another example: "We have no chance of beating that team tomorrow. They are out of our league."
