"the stars were all lined up"



"The stars were all lined up" means that the things that needed to happen happened and that thing worked out.

When more than one thing happened as you needed and the result was what you wanted "the stars were all lined up". Example: "That she and I were both at that busstop on that day and met like that.. the stars were all lined up."

It may have been luck or coincidence or fate, but everything happened just right for you when "the stars were all lined up".

It seems as if the thing was meant to be when "the stars were all lined up".
